We created the logotype from the home-made Yen Yen typeface. The design of the letterforms is inspired by Japanese writings and their appropriateness with either horizontal or vertical composition. For the letterings that are featured on the cover artworks (not designed by us), inspiration was drawn from 90's cheesy graffitis creating a stark contrast with the sophisticated logotype.
